SEEDLINGS is a Speculative/Time travel novel about Seth
Worthy, a beekeeper living on the northern coast of Oregon who is concerned
with the mysterious plight of honeybees when he realizes his bees are dying.
While searching for a swarm of his bees that escaped from a collapsed hive,
Seth is led to meet the love of his life, Melody.
Melody is a collector and preserver of heirloom seeds that
have not been genetically altered. She
is also acquainted with the spirit world and time travelers. Melody and Seth are being followed and
haunted by an evil entity that is attempting to stop their quest and capture
one of them.
When they discover that everything pure made by nature is
now contaminated even the haunting does not stop their romance, however, it
brings challenges to their relationship and strengthens their desire for a life
together helping save humanity by cleaning up the planet.
Through Melody, Seth learns that natural foods have
gradually been altered to have no nutritional value, only the taste and appearance
are what consumers remember and the people don’t understand the new autoimmune
illnesses that have begun to materialize in humans.
Seth tries to warn people that the bees are dying by the
thousands and that puts our health in danger; even our lives, if all the bees die, so will most living
things because we rely on bees to pollinate most of our food sources.
Time travelers appear to Melody and Seth who show them that
the planet is being poisoned. The
travelers assist and encourage them through their journey when one of the Time
travelers reveals her desire to live in human form and she has chosen Melody
and Seth to be her ancestors. However, the planet is on a course to lose all
life forms in the year 2047, the year of the Traveler’s predicted birth.
During Melody and Seth’s quest, they come to a place where
the ordinary is strange and the strange is ordinary and all life that is, was
and will be is in the now.
